In this beer blog, we are going to get into another special release from Stone Brewery. It is their Enjoy By Tangerine IPA. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this California base craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know this West Coast craft brewery. Let us get into IPA.
It has a clear golden color with a white constant head. The aroma has a tangerine to juicey citrus notes. The taste has a nice juicey tangerine notes with a nice tangerine aftertaste. It is pretty drinkable beer.
Here is a description from their website (www.stonebrewing.com):
Stone Enjoy By 07.25.16 Tangerine IPA | Stone Brewing
After brewing this intense double IPA with more than 10 different hops and consistently delivering it faster than any bottled IPA on the planet, we decided to do something different with this Stone Enjoy By IPA—we took it to another level, again. Puréed tangerines were added to the batch to create a devastatingly fresh IPA with a tang of tangerine. The flavors yielded by this addition to the recipe meld beautifully with the bitterness of the hops. True to this series, Stone Enjoy By Tangerine IPA is brewed specifically NOT to last, and should be enjoyed within 37 days.

In the end, the year of the fruit beer keeps on rolling. Here is another fruit IPA. It is coming from Stone Brewery. I know this craft brewery never disappoints many of us craft beer drinkers. I have to say they stepped up and made a better beer than New Belgium Citradelic IPA. I am not saying it is better but if I had to drink this one. I have to say Stone. New Belgium one is a great beer and they make great craft brands. I just like this one because of the ABV and that leads me to talk about a local one from Frankenmuth Brewery. It is their Tangerinos IPA. Just like the Stone, the ABV is around 9%. Closing, there is nothing wrong with New Belgium along with these two beers. They are all great beers and this is my thought. I am getting more favor from Stone and Frankenmuth. I highly recommend all these beers. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/
Cheers!

New Beer Blog Stone American Stout
In this beer blog, we are going to get into another beer from Stone Brewery. It is their American Stout. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this west coast craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know this California base craft brewery. Let us get into this stout.
It has a jet black color with a tan constant color head on this stout. The aroma has a chocolate to heavy espresso notes. The taste has a chocolate to espresso notes with heavy espresso aftertaste. It is a sipping beer.
Here is a description from their website (www.stonebrewing.com):
Stone Americano Stout | Stone Brewing
The coffee notes in Stone Americano Stout are bold, rich and full of American swagger. For each 120-barrel batch, we incorporated over 250 lbs. of artisanal espresso-roast beans into the mash and added in Columbus, Chinook, Amarillo and Cascade hops to invigorate the coffee taste with a slight citrus and resin hop presence. When it came time to selecting our coffee, we chose the same local roasters who contributed to our sought-after 2013 Stone ESPRESSO Imperial Russian Stout. Their fantastic beans helped us achieve this dark, hoppy and wonderfully aromatic espresso stout.

Closing, I always love anything that comes from Stone Brewing. I cannot recall if they make a bad beer. This is one of the few craft brewery that is good overall. I love this beer. I love my coffee stouts. This craft brewery is known for their hoppy and malty beers. It is nice to see them trying to do something different. They did a great job on this beer. There is a nice balance between the stout and the coffee. This is a great beer and I highly recommend this beer. I am glad this craft brewery decided to make seasonal beers. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog Stone And Sierra Nevada N & S IPA
In this special beer blog, we are going to get into a beer that had two breweries team up to brew it. I am talking about NxS IPA from Stone Brewery and Sierra Nevada Brewery. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on either craft brewery from California, you know the history of both of these great craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know these legends of the craft beer world. Let us get into this IPA.
It has a clear copper color with a white constant head. The aroma has a complex citrus with other notes that I cannot pick out. The taste of this full body IPA has a citrus to whiskey bourbon notes with a nice rye spice note. It is pretty complex tasting profile. The aftertaste has citrus and bourbon notes of gin and whiskey rye finish. It is a sipping beer.
Here is a description from their website (www.stonebrewing.com):
Stone & Sierra Nevada NxS IPA
A California collaboration blend of dry-hopped IPA and barrel-aged IPA
For many, California is considered an epicenter for brewing innovation, particularly where hoppy IPAs are concerned. We teamed up with longtime craft compatriots and mutual hop admirers Sierra Nevada to create a truly one-of-a-kind IPA. This special-edition beer conveys the true character of collaboration with touches of inventiveness and creativity. Two batches of an IPA were brewed and expertly blended to craft this multilayered beer. The first batch was split down the middle, with 50% being aged in gin-infused bourbon barrels and the remaining half aged in rye whiskey barrels. These beers were blended with the fresh second batch of IPA, which was generously dry-hopped to impart rich aromas to accompany the citrusy, piney, woody, herbaceous flavors achieved from this truly one-of-a-kind collaboration.

Ending, when either of craft breweries puts out something, I am there to try their new beers. It was a no brainier to pick up this beer. I started to read the bottle and I was all in for this complex taste profile. There is a ton going on in this brew. Each sip will give you something different. This is a well thought out beer with a high risk. It paid off in this beer. They did a great job on this brew. I love this beer. I highly recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog Stone Sorry Not Sorry Imperial IPA
In this special beer blog, we are going to get into limited release beer from Stone Brewery. It is their Sorry Not Sorry Double IPA. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this California base craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know this West Coast craft brewery. Let us get into this Double IPA.
It has a clear copper color with a white constant head. The aroma has a citrus to peach notes. The taste of this full body beer has a smooth peach to citrus notes with dry bitter aftertaste. It is a sipping beer but can be a drinkable beer.
Here is a description from their website (www.stonebrewing.com):
We make no apologies for the fact that we love brewing bold, flavorful, hop-centric beers. Naturally, we welcomed the opportunity to work with two amazing craft breweries that share our lupulin-fueled dedication: St. Louis-based 4 Hands Brewing Co., known for its innovative IPAs; and Bale Breaker Brewing Co., whose owners’ family has farmed hops in Washington’s Yakima Valley for generations. Since theirs was the first hop farm to commercially grow the beloved Simcoe variety, using that piney, stone fruit-like hop was a must. Puréed peaches upped the fruit factor, while experimental hops HBC 342 and HBC 344 introduced notes of stone fruit, tropical fruit, berries and citrus to this IPA. Yes, we made another IPA. We concede it’s not surprising, but we are who we are: an unapologetic band of hopheads psyched to explore the ever-expanding IPA universe.

Closing, I am always interested in what Stone Brewery is up to in world of beer. They are always looking at pushing the limits of craft beer. I will say this beer is no different. It is Peach IPA. Fruit IPA’s are making a run into the beer market of late. It is the new trend now. I believe it will not stop until late in 2017. It is different but really good. I love it. I highly recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog Stone Smoked Porter With Vanilla Bean
In this seasonal beer blog, we are going to get into Smoked Porter with Vanilla Bean from Stone Brewery. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this west coast craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know Stone Brewery. Let us get into this vanilla bean porter.
It has a jet black color with a tan color head. The aroma has a heavy vanilla notes. The taste has a smooth chocolate with a slight smoke notes. There is a heavy vanilla notes with a nice vanilla aftertaste. It is pretty drinkable beer.
Here is a description from the beer bottle:
In 2006, almost exactly 10 years after we first released Stone Smoked Porter, Stone Small Batch Brewer Laura Ulrich came up with a brilliant idea: What if she added whole Madagascar vanilla beans to a small batch of the finished beer? She did just that, and Stone Smoked Porter w/ Vanilla Bean was born. It was an instant hit, as the resulting flavor combinations – rich vanilla melding with the malty, chocolaty, coffee like characteristics of the beer – were practically made for each other. Originally available only as an occasional growler fill or on tap all too briefly in the restaurant, this exquisite creation was bottled for the first time in 2012. To the many fans who have been clamoring for more, worry not: Your voices have been heard.
Here is a description from their website (www.stonebrewing.com):
Warm up your palate with this delicious vanilla-laced creation. Whole Madagascar vanilla beans impart a vanilla quality that melds perfectly with the malty, chocolaty, coffee-like characteristics of our venerable Stone Smoked Porter. Enjoy this exquisite brew on its own or paired with a variety of food.

In the end, I saw this year and I wanted to try it. I wanted to long and it sold out. There was a case where I saw it go out of code in some of my craft beer stores. When the season came back around, I had to check code dates. I love the aroma of the vanilla bean in this porter. I thought that the smoked porter would over take the vanilla or make it weak. The vanilla shines throughout this brew. I love the aftertaste. They did a great job on this brew. I highly recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

It has a dark golden to a copper color with a white constant head on this limited release beer. The aroma has a citrus to slight green tea notes. Ending, Stone Brewing is always looking to push the limits of craft beer world. This brew makes me a little nervous. I love green tea as long as it is cold green tea. I did not know how the hops from the IPA will go over with the green tea. I love the IPA part of this beer. It is a really good one. The beer drinker will not get the green tea notes until the aftertaste. It is not overly powerful and not in your face. It is there and balances the beer. This is a great product. I highly recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog Stone Brewing Smoked Porter Chocolate And Orange Peel
In this seasonal beer blog, we are going to get into another beer from Stone Brewing. It is Smoked Porter Chocolate and Orange Peel. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this west coast craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know Stone Brewing. Let us get into this porter.
It has a jet black color with a nice tan head that disappears. It is semi on there. The smell has a smoke chocolate notes. The taste has a slight smoke chocolate with an orange aftertaste. It is pretty drinkable.
Here is a description from the beer bottle:
We decided early on that we wouldn’t do seasonal beers for the sake of doing seasonal beers. Summer ales and winter lagers certainly have a ring to them. Big-beer focus groups prove consumers get a kick out of them and macrobrew marketing analyses suggest they sell well. But for us, beer comes first, much as Stone Smoked Porter came first. Actually, it came second – oddly enough, in the form of a seasonal. Our co-founder and original brewmaster, Steve Wagner, thought it would be an innovative creation suited for winter…and it was. Legend has it Greg’s Mom agreed. So, rather than relegating fans to nine peat-smoked-porterless months and building revenue-generating fervor for the cold season, we made it a year-round release. Nowadays, we brew a trio of tasty takes on this smoky, sultry vanguard. But the closest they come to being “seasonals” is that they are enhanced with seasonally driven ingredients such as vanilla bean and chipotle peppers. This version, released in the literally gray area separating sunshine and snowfall, incorporates dark chocolate and dried orange peel, making for a semisweet, citrus-nuanced porter that comes across like a break-apart chocolate orange enjoyed by a campfire. It’s not a seasonal – it’s just a phenomenal beer, regardless of the time of year. Throw out the calender and enjoy.

Ending, I never thought I would see the day that Stone Brewing is doing a seasonal. It is kind of crazy to think about it. This craft brewery thinks and runs in their drum beat. They do not what everyone else is doing in the world of craft beers. They felt the time is now to make a seasonal. I have to say they did a great job on this brew. I did not know how the orange peel would go well with the smoked porter. I do enjoy it. It has a weird twist and this is how this craft brewery is successful. There is a nice balance from the chocolate, porter, and orange peel. The smoke porter part is not overpowering everything in this beer. I highly recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog Stone Brewery Coffee Milk Stout
In this beer blog, we are going to get into a new beer from Stone Brewery. It is their Coffee Milk Stout. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this west coast craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know this craft brewery. Let us get into this new beer.
It has a jet black color with a brown color head. The smell has a creamy chocolate to slight coffee notes. The taste has creamy chocolate with a slight burned coffee notes. The aftertaste has a heavy coffee finish. It is a sipping beer but kind of drinkable.
Here is a description from the beer bottle and website (www.stonebrewing.com):
There’s no shortage of talented people at Stone, and each makes their presence known in their own unique way. Brian Gallagher, a brewer who learned the art of fermentation in the UK, used the beer you now hold, a take on a traditional English milk stout, as his vehicle for personal expression. Originally brewed as a limited edition offering at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station, this coffee-laced milk stout quickly became a favorite among Gallagher’s peers. Made bittersweet and creamy while remaining smooth and easy-drinking thanks to the addition of milk sugar, it’s clear in one sip why this is a brew we needed to share with fans everywhere.
Here is a youtube from the brewery about this beer and history:

In the end, I love this beer and I hope they make it as an everyday beer. This is why. I was stun by the pice for the alcohol percentage. I just thought this would be a pretty simple beer to make. The price is high because the limited cases in the market. This is a great beer asides that one negative mark. Milk stout shines with a nice blend of coffee. It has a nice creamy easy drinking notes with a nice coffee aftertaste. If you are not a fan of coffee or stout, you will not like this beer. If you are a fan, you need to hunt this beer down and try it. This is a great beer and I hope they make more to get a lower price in the market. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog Stone Brewery Stochasticity Project Grapefruit Slam IPA
In this beer blog, we are going to get into a new project called Stochasticity Project from Stone Brewery. It is their Grapefruit Slam IPA. There will be a series of different beers released under this name. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this craft brewery. If you have not read those posts, please, do so to get to know this craft brewery. Let us get into this big beer.
It has a clear copper color with a nice white head on this IPA. The aroma has a heavy grapefruit and hints of citrus notes. The taste of this medium body beer is a heavy grapefruit notes. The aftertaste is a dry bitter hop finish that will keep you drinking more of this brew. This India Pale Ale is a sipping beer.
Here is a descriation from the beer bottle:
Stochasticity
There is no happenstance or coincidence. Dumb luck is a fallacy and randomness a commonly accepted mistruth. Much of what seemingly falls into place and seems so natural is a result of Stochasticity, a concept embraced and exalted by this special and unpredicatable series of beers, where exotic notions, ingredients and ideas coalesce at an interesting and often unexpected endpoint.
Stochasticity Project Grapefruit Slam IPA
India pale ales harness the inherent flavor characteristics of hops to bring forward familiar flavors of pine, resin, spice and citrus. In some cases, those botanincals are so potent, they exactly mirror specific edibles. Such is the case with Centennials hops, which hail from the Great Northwest and come across on the palate like a mouthful of citrus fruit. That sensation is amplified with this, the first beer introduced via the Stochasticity Project, a double IPA brewed with Centennial, Chinook and Magnum hops as well as an immense dosing of fresh grapefruit peel. The result is over-the-top bittersweet grapefruit intensity that is a once refreshing and bracing in its citrusy bitterness.

Closing, this beer was something else and that is all in a very good way. I love the heavy aroma and taste of grapefruit. I just found it funny that I hate the taste and smell of real grapefruit. This is a pretty big beer and the beer drinker should not take this brew lightly. It is a sipping brew, however, it is very nice to drink in any part of the year. I wish this beer was all year long and was put in 12oz bottles. I am not a huge fan of 22oz bottles. At least, it came with a good price. Most 22oz bottles are overpriced and that is my thought. I get it. These beers cost a little more than most beers to make. I recommend you trying this beer. I will be looking for one more bottle befoe they disappear. Plus, the next beer when it is released to the public. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog Stone Brewery Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale
In this beer blog, we are going to get into another beer from Stone Brewery. It is their Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale. If you read my earlier beer blog post, you know the history of this brewery. If you have not, please, read those beer blog posts to get to know Stone Brewery. Let us get into the beer.
It has a jet black color with an off white color head. The aroma has a slight chocolate but a heavy citrus notes. The taste has a chocolate to citrus notes with a dry chocolate to hoppy bitter finish for the aftertaste. It is a sipping beer.
Here is a description from the beer bottle:
We’re brewers whose substantial mettle and idiomatic approach to brewing allows us to consistently creat works of art such as this justifiably self-righteous ale. Its bitterness hits our sweet spot. Its blackness lightens our hearts. Its liquid dichotomy pulls it all together in this sublimely sacrosanct ale. Thus the name we are compelled to give it – Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale – serves as a remember of just how good we are, in both liquid and verbal form.
First brewed in 2007 as the Stone 11th Anniversary Ale, this ale was an instant hit. With us. Other folks with great taste loved it too, but we were focused on how much we liked it, and we felt it was truly sublime. That euphoria didn’t last long though, as it was soon replaced with the grim reality that when we sold out of it there wouldn’t be any more. For us. And that was simply unacceptable. So, we now bless ourselves, and you, the enlightened, with this ale full-time. Thusly, you may now revel in you own self-righteousness as you see it with this glorious example of ours. You are genuinely welcome, as it is our pleasure.
Here is a description from their website (www.stonebrew.com):

We’re brewers whose substantial mettle and idiomatic approach to brewing allows us to consistently create works of art such as this justifiably self-righteous black IPA. Its bitterness hits our sweet spot. Its blackness lightens our hearts. Its liquid dichotomy pulls it all together in this sublimely sacrosanct ale. Yes, we damn well know our stuff here at Stone, and it would be irresponsible of us not to acknowledge how remarkable this heavenly creation of ours is. Thus the name we are compelled to give it — Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA — serves as a reminder of just how good we are, in both liquid and verbal form. We’re certainly not perfect. Too often, we allow our modesty to get the best of us as we’re simply not inclined towards senseless braggadocio. When you’re good, you’re good. And when you do something great, the least you can do is acknowledge it. Others benefit from knowing. In this case, we find that we are compelled to point out how amazing this ale is that we rightly call the Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale.

In closing, I enjoy myself a nice Black IPA. I have been searching for a better one that would top the last one. I am a huge fan of Porters, Stouts, and IPA’s. This is a great combination for the Hophead and Porter or Stout fans in the world and it is Black IPA. I love the hop character of the citrus with some nice chocolate notes. The hops are pretty strong on this Black IPA. I enjoyed this Black IPA. I hope you try this beer and let me know what you think. Stone Brewery did a great job on it. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it!
