New Beer Blog Big Horn Ram Brewing Hopcicle Imperial IPA

This Imperial India Pale Ale has a deep copper color with a constant white head on the beer. The smell is a heavy citrus to the beer. The taste has a heavy citrus but a nice malty backbone to cut down the hops in this big beer. The aftertaste has a dry cirrus that lingers. For being a big IPA, this is a pretty drinkable beer.

Closing, this Imperial India Pale Ale is not crazy over hop like other Imperial India Pale Ale. I have to say this is what I thought of this beer. If it was a solid, you would be licking this like crazy. Since it is in liquid form, it is smooth and silky on your tongue for the mouth feel. It is pretty drinkable and malt backbone is pretty solid. These brewers at Ram Wheeling did a great job on this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Lake Placid Craft Brewing Ubu Ale

In this beer blog, Lake Placid Craft Brewing Ubu Ale is being featured on this posted. This is one of my brews from my latest Beer Of The Month. If you read my earlier beer blog on this brewery, you are up to speed with this brewery. If you have not read it, please, read that beer blog to get to know this great New York State brewery. Let us get into a beer that President Clinton use to order cases to the White House when he was in office.

It has a beautiful brown color without a head on this English Strong Ale. There is really no smell but maybe a strong malty to it. The taste is a carbonation sweet burn malty with dry aftertaste. This is a sipping beer to relax and watch television.

Closing out, the last time I had this brewery’s brews was from my Beer Of The Month that was months ago. When I did had them, I fall in love with their beers. I really wanted to try this brew and I was a little upset it was not part of my last Beer Of The Month. I was pretty happy to see their Amber and Ubu Ale in this Beer Of The Month. It has a great story with one of our presidents enjoying this beer while in office. I have to say this beer did not let me down. It has a nice malty snap but just enough hops to make it a great brew. New Beer Blog Sea Dog Hazelnut Porter

In this beer blog, we are going to get into another beer from Sea Dog Brewery and the beer is called Hazelnut Porter. If you read my beer blog post from yesterday, you know the history of this brewery. If you have not read that beer blog post, please, read it to get up to speed on this brewery. It has a dark deep brown color without a head on this porter. The smell is a hazelnut to the beer. The taste is hazelnut with a touch of toffee. Toffee is extremely fate. The aftertaste is a dry hazelnut. It is a sipping beer. It is a beer to take your time and relax.

In closing, I have to say when I opened my Beer Of The Month and saw this beer. I have to be honest. I was excited and nervous at the same time. It was in a good way on my feelings before I open the bottle. I really enjoyed this beer and it is extremely unique to what is on the market. New Beer Blog Sea Dog India Pale Ale

In this beer blog, we are going to get into a beer I received from my Beer Of The Month. The brewery and the beer is called Sea Dog Brewery India Pale Ale. Sea Dog Brewery was founded in 1992 in the State of Maine. The brewery was named after a dog called Barney, which is no longer with the brewery. They brew several different beer styles and have several location around the Portland, Maine area. Let us get into the beer.

It has a deep copper color with a semi white head on the beer. The smell is a citrus to a little malty to this India Pale Ale. The taste of this full body beer is a carbonation citrus with a sweet dry aftertaste. It is a pretty drinkable IPA.

In closing, there is not too many good English style India Pale Ales on the market. I know this brewery is in the Chicago Market but I never see their India Pale Ale. It is pretty balance and well hopped. I have to say I love the story and history of this brewery. It is a really cool story. I wish I could find more of their beer in the Chicago market. New Beer Blog New Glarus Brewing Two Women

In this beer blog, we are going to sample another beer from New Glarus Brewing Company. The beer called Two Women Lager. This lager has a beautiful copper color without a head on it. There is a lager malt smell to the beer. The taste is a carbonation malty with lager finish to light hoppy aftertaste. This is a pretty drinkable beer.

Ending, I am not a huge fan of craft lagers. This is a pretty balance and drinkable beer. I was pretty impressed and I am glad I had a chance to try this beer. This is a pretty good craft lager. This apple ale is a hazel copper color without a head on the beer. The smell is an apple cider to the beer. The taste is a carbonation sweet apple cider beer. The aftertaste is a carbonation cider to the beer. It is a pretty drinkable beer.

In closing, this is what apple ales should taste like in the beer market. This is a great beer and it is pretty well balance. I really enjoyed this beer very much. It has a cider beer style to it. I know Miller Brewery Company put out their apple ale called Redd’s. The beer is carbonation apple juice beer. New Beer Blog Sixpoint Brewing 3Beans

In this beer blog, we are going to get into another beer from Sixpoint Brewing. This is a new beer from this Brooklyn base brewery and the beer is called 3Beans. If you read my earlier beer blog post on their beers, you know about the history this brewery. If you have not, please, read the first part of that beer blog. Let us get into the beer.

The color of this unique beer from Sixpoint Brewing is a brown to dark brown color with a slight brown white color head on it. The smell is a heavy coffee bean to the beer. The taste is a full body of complex taste. It has coffee to toffee and a little chocolate. It is a understatement to say there is a ton going on in this beer. It is not drinkable beer but good beer with a cigar on a Sunday afternoon. Even though, I do not smoke.

In closing, this beer has a ton going on in it. It has a full body while giving the craft beer drinker a complex taste that will keep them coming back for more. Every sip, the drinking experience gives the beer drinker something different every time. At first, you will smell and taste the coffee but when you break it down more you will notice a few other things in the beer. I really enjoyed this beer and I will be picking it as long as it is available. I need to get back to Brooklyn to visit their brewery. I highly recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Ending, this was a pretty different beer. I was expecting something else and I receive something a little better in my mind. This bock is nothing special but it is still a good beer. New Beer Blog New Glarus Brewing Coffee Stout

In this beer blog, we are going to get into another brew from New Glarus Brewing Company. The beer is called Coffee Stout. If you read my earlier beer blog, you know the history of this brewery. If you have not, please, read that earlier beer blog. Let us get into this beer.

This coffee stout has a black color with a tan color head on the brew. The smell is chocolate with a little coffee notes. The taste of the full body beer has a chocolate with a little coffee notes. The aftertaste is a dry coco to the beer. It is kind of drinkable beer.

In the end, this is a pretty nice coffee stout. I love how the coffee is not too heavy in this stout. Most coffee stouts have a heavy coffee and it is not very well balance. Now that might be how the beer is design which is fine. I am not knocking it but it nice to get one like this one from New Glarus. The problem I have with this brewery. I do not know if it is the water they are using or the same yeast in their beers. I just feel the base of the beers are the same and kind of taste the same. I realize coffee stout to a cream ale or a lager. I know that and they are different. There is something the same in all their beers. This was pointed out by a few of my friends and there a few breweries like this. I enjoy most of the beers I had from this brewery. This brewery makes some great beers and I wish they were in the Chicago or Michigan market, when I go back to my home state, I could drink some of their beers. Let me know what you think. New Beer Blog Dogfish Brewery 90 Minute Imperial IPA

In this beer blog, we are going to get another beer from the Dogfish Head Brewery. The beer is called 90 Minute Imperial IPA. If you have read my earlier blogs on their beers, you know the history of this brewery. If you have not read them, please, read those blogs to get to know this brewery. Dogfish Head Brewery is pretty well-known so you might be up to speed on this brewery. Let us get the beer.

It has a clear copper color with a white head on the beer. The smell is earthly. The taste is earthy with a touch of malts. The aftertaste has a dry with a touch of earthy notes. It is a pretty drinkable beer for being a big beer.

What you have here is an Imperial India Pale Ale featuring a single, constant 90-minute hop addition. It’s balanced by a ridiculous amount of English Two-row Barley. Then we dry-hop it in every tank.

This beer is an excellent candidate for use with our Randall The Enamel Animal filter!

In closing, I do enjoy this beer. This is a pretty good beer. I just feel like most of the beers from this brewery is overpriced. I am not saying this is a bad beer. It is a pretty good beer and for Imperial IPA it is a pretty drinkable beer. There are several Imperial India Pale Ale just feel like they are extremely over hopped. There are several that are not drinkable beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale from Dogfish Head Brewery is pretty balance and drinkable. The key is it makes the hop head pretty happy.
