In this beer blog,we are going to get into a new brew from Deschutes Brewery. It is their Pinedrops IPA. It has a clear golden color with a white constant head. The smell has a piney to earthly notes. The taste has a piney notes with a smooth dry aftertaste. It is pretty drinkable beer.

Closing, I was happy to hear that Deschutes was coming to the State of Michigan. I do not know how they are doing in this state. This state is a little different from other states about the drink the local beer. I get it but there are some really good craft breweries outside of this state. I believe this market is slowly turning. I could be totally wrong on that thought. I love this beer. This is better IPA than most Michigan IPA’s. I highly recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! New Beer Blog Deschutes Armory XPA

In this beer blog, we are going to get into another brew from Deschutes. It is their Armory XPA and you can only get this beer from their sampler pack. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this west coast craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know this brewery located in the northwest part of the United States. Let us get into this pale ale.

It has a clear copper color with a white constant head. The smell has a nice floral like notes. The taste has a nice floral and tropical notes. The aftertaste has a tropical fruit like finish. It is extremely drinkable beer.

Closing, I was happy to see this brewery finally make it to the Chicago market. I had to move back home so I loss the chance to really enjoyed their beers. Every time, I travel to the west coast. I always try to bring some beer back home. I happy that they followed me to Michigan. Since i have not had their beers for a while, I brought a sampler pack and this beer was part of it. I like it. It seems a little bit more bitter than Goose Island IPA. This is a great pale ale. It is not as bitter as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! New Beer Blog Knee Deep Brewing Breaking Bud

In this beer blog, we are going to get into Knee Deep Brewing. This is the first time that this brewery and their beer is being feature on this blog. The beer is their Breaking Bud IPA. Jeremy Warren founded Knee Deep Brewing in 2010. They are known for their IPA’s. There is not much history on this brewery. They just added Michigan to their distribution map. Let us get into this IPA.

It has a clear golden color with a white constant head. The aroma has a heavy earthly to floral like notes. The taste has an earthly to grass like notes with a pine cone aftertaste. It is pretty drinkable beer.

Closing my tab, I just happen to walk into one of liquor stores by my house. I was pretty stun to see these brews from Knee Deep Brewing. I never heard of them and of course, I pulled out my phone right away and did a little research from this craft brewery. I have to say I am not disappointed. I just wished that it came in as six pack bottles or cans. I am not a huge fan of 22oz bottles. I will say most markets are like this now. If it is a limited run beer, I am fine with it being in 22oz bottles. I like it. It is nice to get a different version of an English style IPA. I will pick up this beer once in a while. It is just the 22oz that throws me off. Once it is open. You have to drink it all. I recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog The Brew Kettle White Rajak India Pale Ale

In this beer blog, we are going to get into a brew from The Brew Kettle Brewery. This is the first time that this craft brewery is being featured on this beer blog. The beer is White Rajak India Pale Ale. This Ohio base craft brewery was founded in 1995 under the name of Ringneck Brewing. They later changed their name to Brew Kettle. They have distribution throughout Ohio and Kentucky. Let us get into this IPA.

It has a clear golden color with a white constant head. The smell has a heavy grapefruit notes. The taste has a heavy grapefruit notes with a dry bitter aftertaste. It is pretty drinkable beer.

In the end, I have been looking for a great Ohio beer outside of Great Lakes Brewery from Ohio base craft brewery. I was happy to find this great IPA from Ohio. I also love Hoppin Frog Brewery. I believe Brew Kettle might be my favorite Ohio Brewery. I will need to try some of their other beers asides this IPA. I only had this brew. This is by far the best everyday Ohio made IPA. I love it. I am really impressed. There is a nice well-built malty backbone and they picked the right mix of hops. This is a really good IPA and being a hophead. I cannot wait to get more of this brew on my next trip to Ohio next month. I will be looking for their Fall Seasonal when I am down there. I highly recommend this beer. Go get some! Drink it! New Beer Blog Sixpoint 4 Beans

In this beer blog, we are going to get into a special beer release from Sixpoint Brewery. It is their 4 Beans and not 3 Beans. If you read my earlier beer blog posts on their beers, you know the history of this east coast craft brewery. If you have not, please, read them to get to know this New York City Craft Brewery. Let us get into this Imperial Porter.

It has a jet black color with a tan constant head. The aroma has a chocolate to coffee notes. The taste has a smooth chocolate to toffee and notes of coffee. Each sip there is something new. The aftertaste has dry chocolate notes. It is a sipping beer

Closing, I am a huge fan and I am glad that I can get them in the Ohio market. I cannot get them in Michigan market. I am just happy to travel an hour south. I loved their 3 Beans. Why not the 4 Beans? This one step up from the 3 Beans. What I love about this beer is it gives you something new in each sip. I love it. I am a huge fan. Next time, I am down in Ohio. It has a clear golden color with a white constant head. The smell has a floral to slight citrus notes. The taste of this medium body has a citrus notes with hints of hop bitter. The aftertaste has a hop bitter finish. It is pretty drinkable beer.

Ending, I always pick up their new IPA’s. I am a huge fan of this craft brewery. i love the fact that they are always trying something different and new in beer. I love taste profile and nice balance in this beer. This craft brewery knows how to make IPA’s. I trust this craft brewery more than any other craft brewery. Ending, it is a big holiday when I get Schlafly beers. I do not get any of their beers in the Michigan market. I have been wanting to try this beer since it was first released in their beer market. I will say it did not disappoint me at all. I love the tasting notes. I love the hop selection. They build a nice malty backbone. I love this beer as much their APA. I highly recommend this beer. New Beer Blog The Alchemist Heady Topper

In this beer blog, we are going to get into a brew that I have been wanting to try in a long time. The brewery is The Alchemist and the beer is Heady Topper. Alchemist is from Vermont. It is a small brewery that focus on this brew. They do brew other beers. This brewery started in 2003. They opened a larger brewery in 2011. There is not much history on this brewery. This beer is hard to get and people go out of their way to get this brew. Let us get into this beer.

It has a cloudy golden color with a white constant head. The carbonation is pretty alive. The aroma has a heavy earthly to floral like notes. The tastes of this full body double India Pale Ale has a slight citrus to piney like notes. The aftertaste has an orange to grapefruit like finish. It is extremely drinkable beer.

Heady Topper is an American Double India Pale Ale. This beer is not intended to be the biggest or most bitter. It is meant to give you wave after wave hoppy goodness on your palate. Tremendous amounts of American hops will creep up on you, and leave you with a dense hoppy finish in you mouth.

So drinkable. It’s scary. Sometimes I wish I could crawl right into the can. Freshness and control have always been my main concern when it comes to our beer. We are committed to providing you with an unfiltered and unpasteurized hop experience. The act of pouring it in a glass smells nice, but it releases the essential hop aromas that we have worked so hard to retain. If you MUST pour it into the glass, you mind find that some of the hop resins have settled to the bottom – leave them in the can when pouring. This beer is perishable, and at its best when it is young, fresh and hazy. Keep it cold, but not ice-cold. Drink this immediately, we are always making more.

Ending, I will say this beer did not disappoint me for the wait and hunting to get this brew. This is a great beer and I can see why it is rated so high. It is well-balanced for double IPA. This is the best Double IPA that I have ever had. There is a nice balance and it does not drink like a Double IPA. They did an awesome job on this brew. I want more. This is the brew that I will base other Double IPA’s on in the future. I bet others do the same. I highly recommend this beer and I cannot say it enough. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! New Beer Blog New Holland Brewing Mad Hatter Midwest India Pale Ale

It has a cloudy to unfiltered golden color with a white constant head. The aroma has a citrus like notes. The taste has a nice balance of citrus that bends into a nice dry bitter aftertaste. It is a pretty drinkable beer.

In the end, New Holland finally took noticed that their old IPA was not really good. They redesign it and put a new recipe in their beer bottles. I love citrus notes and it turned out pretty good. They finally did something right with one of their everyday beers. I believe it is turn off for what you have to pay to get this beer. I am not paying 9.99 to 11.99 for this beer. This is made in Michigan not New York or California. I understand that IPA’s are not cheap to make. I just do not understand why the price being high in Michigan. I recommend it, however, you will see what I am talking about. I can get the same beer but cheaper. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Beer Blog Great Lakes Brewing Lake Erie Monster Imperial IPA

Ending, I look forward every year for this beer to be released. I was pretty stun to see that I never blogged about this brew. This brew has a well built malty backbone to give off a nice balance for Imperial IPA. The malty backbone let the hops shine nicely throughout the drinking experience. I love this beer.
