New Beer Blog Starr Hill Brewery Northern Lights India Pale Ale

In this beer blog, we are going to get into another beer from my beer trade.  It is Starr Hill Brewery Northern Lights India Pale Ale.  If you read my earlier beer blog posts, you know the history of this East Coast Craft Brewery.  If you have not, please, read them to get to know this craft brewery.  Let us get into this IPA.

It has a cloudy copper color with a semi white head on this IPA.  The smell has a floral to piney notes.  The taste of this medium body is a light carbonation piney notes with a caramel notes finish for the aftertaste.  It is pretty drinkable beer.

Closing, there is only been one beer that was pretty disappointing for me from this craft brewery.  I have liked just about everything that I had from Starr Hill.  I was pretty excited to see this beer in my beer trade.  I love the hop notes from the aroma and taste.  The other thing that I like about this beer is the IBU’s. It is pretty low.  I could drink this beer about half the day and have to switch to something else or stop drinking.  This is a great beer.  I highly recommend this beer.  Go get some!  Drink it!  Enjoy it!  Metal it!  \m/

New Beer Blog Starr Hill Grateful Pale Ale

In this beer bog, we are going to get into another brew from Starr Hill Brewery.  It is their Grateful Pale Ale. If you read my earlier blog on their Amber Ale, you know the history of this brewery.  If you have not read that post, please, read that post.  Let us get into the beer.

It has a clear golden to dark yellow color with a white head.  The smell has a citrus with a touch of mango and grapefruit.   The taste of this light to medium body ale has a light carbonated citrus with a slight dry hop finish.  It extremely drinkable beer.

In closing, I have heard great things about their beers and I had one of their beers when I was in Washington D.C.  I was pretty impressed with their  Amber Ale.  I just felt this was a great brew, however, this beer is too much of a light body for my taste.  I love the hop they use in the beer.  I understand where they were going with it being their summer seasonal.  I was not impressed but I know for a fact this beer will sell.  I recommend you trying this beer.  Go get some!  Drink it!  Enjoy it!  Metal it!  \m/

New Blog Starr Hill Amber Ale

While in DC for Savor, I had this beer at the Big Board in DC.  I saw this beer at the bottom of their list and it jumped out at me.  I did not know the brewery nor the beer.  Starr Hill Brewery was founded in 1999 by Mark Thompson in the state of Virginia.  I love their tag line they use for their brewery, which is “The Gift of Great Beer.”  They brew several different beer styles and they all sounds really good.  They are award-winning brewery.  There are several beers that are retired and they even sounds good.  I found this quarto on their website and then I will get into the beer.

This beer is amber in color. Smells like sweet sweating socks in the beer. The taste of the beer is carbonation malty going on in it. It is a little water but this beer is very drinkable.  Starr Hill Amber is a great beer drinking experience throughout the drinking experience.

Irish Red Ale

Sad to look at an empty glass,  I really enjoyed this beer and it went awesome with my burger at the Big Board.  I love the drinkablity of this beer.  I really do not get into Amber Ales nor Irish Amber Ales but this is my first favorite Irish Amber Ale and Amber Ale.  Since I live in Chicago, I will be looking online to buy some to be shipped to my house.  Thank you Starr Hill Brewery for making a great Amber Ale that I really enjoyed.  Go get some!
