New Beer Blog Brooklyn East India Pale Ale

In this beer blog, we are going to sample out another beer from Brooklyn Brewery and the beer is their East India Pale Ale. If you read my earlier beer blog on their beers, you know the history of this brewery. If you have not, please, read the first part of that beer blog. Let us get into the beer.

This English India Pale Ale has a clear copper color with a white constant head on the beer. The smell is a heavy grapefruit to it. The taste of this full body beer is a carbonation grapefruit with a wet grapefruit hop to it. It is drinkable beer for what it is but to me, it is one and maybe two beers. I have to move on to the next beers.

Ending, this is not my favorite India Pale Ale. I have to say with all the over the top hopped up India Pale Ales. This beer gives the hop head another aspect of this great beer style. Brooklyn Brewery hit a home run with the traditional beer style going back to England. They honor that great man on their beer bottles in their description. I will flip this beer in and out of my line up. This is a pretty good English IPA style. This is a great beer to start with if you are trying to like India Pale Ale. I recommend you trying it. New Beer Blog Mt. Pleasant Brewing Iron Horse IPA

In this beer blog, we are going to get into a beer from Mt. Pleasant Brewing and the beer is called Iron Horse India Pale Ale. There is not a ton of information of when this brewery started but they are from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. The State of Michigan has been seeing a huge growth of up and coming craft breweries. Let us get into the beer.

This India Pale Ale has a hazel copper color with a heavy constant white head. The smell of this full body has a heavy grapefruit to it. The taste is a heavy grapefruit to the beer has a grapefruit aftertaste. It is drinkable beer.

In closing, I thought this beer was a little different to me. It has a heavy grapefruit to this full body India Pale Ale. If you love grapefruit, this will be a beer you need to try it. I have some mix feelings towards this beer. I would not say I do not like it but I would not say it is not one of my favorites. I would like to try this beer on draft to get a better feel towards this beer. I will have to say this beer is worth a shot of trying this India Pale Ale. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! New Beer Blog Sea Dog India Pale Ale

In this beer blog, we are going to get into a beer I received from my Beer Of The Month. The brewery and the beer is called Sea Dog Brewery India Pale Ale. Sea Dog Brewery was founded in 1992 in the State of Maine. The brewery was named after a dog called Barney, which is no longer with the brewery. They brew several different beer styles and have several location around the Portland, Maine area. Let us get into the beer.

It has a deep copper color with a semi white head on the beer. The smell is a citrus to a little malty to this India Pale Ale. The taste of this full body beer is a carbonation citrus with a sweet dry aftertaste. It is a pretty drinkable IPA.

In closing, there is not too many good English style India Pale Ales on the market. I know this brewery is in the Chicago Market but I never see their India Pale Ale. It is pretty balance and well hopped. I have to say I love the story and history of this brewery. It is a really cool story. I wish I could find more of their beer in the Chicago market. New Beer Blog Dogfish Brewery 90 Minute Imperial IPA

In this beer blog, we are going to get another beer from the Dogfish Head Brewery. The beer is called 90 Minute Imperial IPA. If you have read my earlier blogs on their beers, you know the history of this brewery. If you have not read them, please, read those blogs to get to know this brewery. Dogfish Head Brewery is pretty well-known so you might be up to speed on this brewery. Let us get the beer.

It has a clear copper color with a white head on the beer. The smell is earthly. The taste is earthy with a touch of malts. The aftertaste has a dry with a touch of earthy notes. It is a pretty drinkable beer for being a big beer.

What you have here is an Imperial India Pale Ale featuring a single, constant 90-minute hop addition. It’s balanced by a ridiculous amount of English Two-row Barley. Then we dry-hop it in every tank.

In closing, I do enjoy this beer. This is a pretty good beer. I just feel like most of the beers from this brewery is overpriced. I am not saying this is a bad beer. It is a pretty good beer and for Imperial IPA it is a pretty drinkable beer. There are several Imperial India Pale Ale just feel like they are extremely over hopped. There are several that are not drinkable beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale from Dogfish Head Brewery is pretty balance and drinkable. The key is it makes the hop head pretty happy. New Beer Blog Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s India Pale Ale

In this blog, we are going to get into Oskar Blues Brewing and the beer is called Deviant Dale’s India Pale Ale. Oskar Blues was founded in 1997 by Dick Dale Katechis in Longmont, Colorado. They brew several different beer styles but they use only cans for their packaging. Oskar Blues was the first craft brewery to package their beer in cans. Let us get into the beers.

It has a cloudy copper color with a white head on the beer. The smell is of a heavy citrus to almost grapefruit to the beer. The taste is a sweet grapefruit taste with a balance from the malts. The aftertaste is a bitter dry to it. For being Double IPA, it is pretty drinkable beer.

This beer is intended to be assault for hop lovers and is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado.

In closing, I am excited to have this brewery in the Chicago Market. When I wanted to drink their beers, I had to work the phones or get friends or family to bring back beer for me. For this brewery, I will not have to do that anymore. I saw this beer on draft at the Blue Bar. This is a pretty good India Pale Ale. I really enjoyed this beer and I will be searching for it at my local liquor stores. I see their Dale’s Pale Ale in most liquor stores which is expected. New Blog Uinta Hop Notch IPA

In this blog, we are going to take a look at this brewery’s, who is Uinta Brewery, flagship beer called Unita Hop Notch IPA. If you read my earlier blog on this brewery, you are pretty much up to speed on Uinta. Let us get into this beer.

Hop Notch is one of their everyday beers and it is not organic unlike some of their other beers. It has a nice light copper color with a constant white head on it. It has a slight citrus but more earthly smell to this IPA. Hop Notch has a slight sweet citrus but more earthly to piney taste to it with nice hop finish. It is drinkable for being a 7.3% ABV.

In closing, I really enjoyed this beer. I love how it is drinkable and has a ton of flavor. It might be have a nice hoppy to earthy taste but it has a nice malty backbone to balance everything in the beer. This beer has a different twist on the west coast india pale ale style. New Blog Roscoe’s Hop House Craft India Pale Ale

In this blog, we are going to taste another beer from Roscoe’s Hop House, which is their India Pale Ale. If you read my earlier blog on this brewery, you are up to speed for the short history I found on this brewery. Let us get into the beer.

It has a constant clear copper color without a head. It has no smell but maybe a slight circus smell. This IPA has a sweet carbonation and citrus taste to it. It is more of an English India Pale Ale. It is drinkable.

In closing, this beer is not really good. It is not really hoppy enough to be an India Pale Ale. This is more like an English India Pale Ale but I do not think it is not that hoppy enough for that beer style. It is sad when their Pale Ale is little bit more hoppier then this India Pale Ale. It is drinkable but that is all this beer has going on with it. Do not go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/

New Blog Sixpoint Resin

In this blog, Sixpoint Resin is going to be the feature beer. Sixpoint Brewery is from Brooklyn, New York City which was founded in 2004. They brew several different beer styles and put a twist on them. I have blogged on this brewery several times. I believe the only beer that I am not a really big fan of their Rightlous Ale. I need to retry that beer again. I am not a big fan of Rye Ales. Asides that I really enjoyed the rest of their line up and it includes this beer. Let us get into this beer.

Sixpoint Resin is an Imperial India Pale Ale. It has a nice copper color with a little white head in the beer. It has a heavy citrus to piney smell to it. The taste is a sweet carbonation citrus with the dry hop aftertaste. It is very drinkable for the style of beer.

In closing, I am a huge hop head and this lives up to the hop muscle that I am looking in an Imperial India Pale Ale. I love the overall beer taste. It has a nice malty backbone which is important with these Imperial and Double IPAs. There is not too many craft breweries that has done this right to their beers. Some breweries can not even get their normal India Pale Ale right. I love how it is drinkable with a serious big punch of 9.1%. This is my go to Imperial IPA and it is pretty much always in my refrigerate. Go find this beer and I will be disappointed if you do not fall in love with it. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! 21st Amendment Brew Free! Or Die India Pale Ale New Blog

In this blog, we are going to dig into one of the breweries that I have been wanting to try in a very long time. This brewery that I am talking about is 21st Amendment Brewery. The brewery was founded by Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan in 2000 in San Francisco, Calfornia. They ran with the government theme on all of their cans and naming them after historic events in United States hisyory. Let us get into the beer. This is pretty exciting.

This beer is light copper in color with no head on the beer. It has almost an orange to citrus smell. The taste is a sweet carbonation citrus going on in the beer. This beer is a full body with a ton of favor going on in this beer. The aftertaste is that dry hops citrus going on after drinking the beer. This beer is a very drinkable beer.

Closing out, this brewery just like Cigar City Brewery that I have been wanting to try has not been disappointing. I love this beer and I wish I could get it here in Chicago. However, I need to give a huge shout out to my friend Dean, he brought me a few cans of their beers. I have two more blogs coming from this brewery. Stone Brewery IPA New Blog

While in Vegas, we are going to try another beer from the Stone Brewery and it is one of their flagship beers called India Pale Ale. If you read my earlier blog on their other beer then you know about this brewery, let us get into the beer.

This India Pale Ale is copper with a constant head on it. It has a heavy citrus smell to it. The taste of this beer is a sweet carbonation citrus kicking throughout the beer experience. This beer is a very drinkable beer for being India Pale Ale. I was stun to fine this beer on tap at a resturant on the Vegas Strip.

Last craft beer in Vegas, this beer is very well made and has put mark on India Pale Ales in craft world. I really enjoy drinking this beer but the one problem I have with this beer. I believe this beer is very over price in the six pack bottles. I cannot remember what I paid at this bar but I rarely see it on draft here in Chicago area. I do buy it here and there but I do not put it in my regular lineup because of the cost. Go get some! Drink it! Enjoy it! Metal it! \m/
