In this beer (cider) blog, we are going to get into a special cider from Woodchuck Hard Cider. It is Local Nectar. If you read my earlier cider blog posts on their ciders, you know the history of this East Coast Cider Makers. If you have not, please, read them to get to know Woodchuck. Let us get into this Cider.
It has a clear off yellow color. It is almost a white yellow color like a Belgian White Ale color. The smell has a sweet hard cider apple notes. The taste has a sweet to slight dry apple notes. The aftertaste is sweet apple tart finish. It is pretty drinkable cider. It is perfect throughout the summer months.
Here is a description from their website (www.woodchuck.com):
Core Ciders | Available Year Round | Woodchuck Hard Cider
Woodchuck® was born and raised in Vermont and our roots remain firmly entrenched in our home state. This cider was handcrafted using apples solely from our orchard partners in Vermont. It is light and crisp, semi-dry, and a pure reflection of the fantastic apple crop Vermont is known for.
*Local Nectar is also now available in Michigan.
