In this blog, we are going to get into the final result of this Ford GT 40. As you can see in the photos it came out really well. Let’s start with the break down of cost, sold, and profit.
Results
I said it in the last post. This was a complete rebuild. It was a really fun rebuild. Here is totals:
Junkyard Cost: $16,576
Total Rebuild Cost: $44,009
Final Cost Toal: $60,586
Sold: $246,536
Profit: $185,950
This rebuild I used all high performance parts and as much as possible.
Started horse power – 335hp
Finished horse power – 588hp
Percentage lift – 75.5%
In closing, I had fun working on this car. If I do this car again, I will try to find it in a Barn Find. It is pretty funny. The other night after I finished this car. I found one in a barn. The other thing that I would do is put another set of tires on it. This car puts me in a good situation on restoring more cars and keeping them. I am sitting on some good money now. I did sell this car. Next car up is going to be Shelby Cobra and I will be keeping that car. This makes sense of doing it next. I highly recommend watching Ford vs Ferrari movie. I hope you enjoyed this car rebuild. Let me know if there is a car or truck that you want me to work on in the future. Until then, play hard and party on! \m/
Cheers!
